Holiday Entertaining: Hanukkah Edition Part I

Candlelit Branch Centerpiece
What you'll need

  • Silver floral spray
  • 9 candle clips
  • Pencil
  • Star template
  • Pale blue vellum
  • 3/4-inch circle craft punch
  • Hanukkah candles
  • Classic fluted candleholders
What you'll need to do
  • Coat a manzanita branch with silver floral spray. Let dry.
  • Attach 9 candle clips along branch, with 1 higher than the rest.
  • With a pencil, trace star template 9 times onto blue vellum. Cut out.
  • Using a 3/4-inch circle craft punch, remove center of each star. Cut along line on template. Slide stars onto clips. Insert Hanukkah candles.

Modern Menorah of Glass & Beads
What you'll need

  • 6 similar wine glasses
  • 1 larger glass/ goblet for the shamash
  • Glass beads (Colorful or all one color)
  • Dripless menorah candles

What you'll need to do

  • Fill each sherry glass with about a handful of clear glass beads and stand a dripless silver menorah candle in each glass.
  • The shamash should stand at center in the slightly larger goblet.
  • Display in a staggered line.

 

Dreidel Place Cards
What you'll need

  • Card stock
  • Scissors
  • Dreidel template, found here from Martha Stewart
What you'll need to do
  • Print dreidel templates and cut out.
  • Trace dreidel sections onto card stock, and cut out.
  • Cut slits as indicated on templates.
  • Write guest's name on one piece. Slide pieces together.
