    Fall Entertaining: Pumpkin Pie Martini

    This delicious dessert cocktail is a great way to end a meal on a sweet note. 
     
    What you'll need:
    • Ice cubes
    • 2 ounces (1/4 cup) vanilla vodka
    • 2 ounces (1/4 cup) creme de cacao
    • 1/4cup heavy cream
    • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    • Whipped cream, for garnish
    What you'll need to do:
    Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add the vanilla vodka, creme de cacao, heavy cream and pumpkin pie spice and shake well.
    Dip the rims of 2 martini glasses into a bowl of whipped cream. Strain the cocktail into the glasses.

    The Shinnyo Lantern Floating for Peace is being orchestrated by Shinnyo-en, and will bring together prominent New Yorkers, local music artists and cultural performances for a day-long, family friendly outdoor event that celebrates peace.

    Fall Entertaining: Produce Place Cards

    These place settings will highlight the best that autumn has to offer and bring vibrant color onto your table. 

    For Pears: Using vegetable tags found at  garden stores, turn fruits with stems into instant place-setters. Cut the tag to size, then write the name on it with a black permanent marker.

    For Pomegranates, Apples, and Carrots: Use permanent or liquid ink in gold, silver, or black and write directly onto the fruit. 

     

    Fall Entertaining: Caramel Apple Bickle Dip

    This sweet treat would be a great addition to a dessert table for guests of all ages.
     
    Serves 20
    What you'll need:
    • 1 (8 ounce) container whipped cream cheese (tub, not the block type)
    • 1 (18 ounce) container caramel apple dip
    • 1 (10 ounce) bag English toffee bits
    What you'll need to do:
    Spread cream cheese into a pie plate.
    Spread caramel dip on top of cream cheese (you may not want all of the caramel - use your own judgment! 
    Sprinkle with all of the toffee bits and serve with sliced apples of your choice!
